Getting Started

The dealer receives 13 cards; the other two players receive 12 each. Remaining cards form the central draw pile.
Arrange cards into valid melds: a Set (three or four cards of the same rank) or a Run (three or more consecutive cards of the same suit).
On your turn draw from the pile or pick up the last discard, then discard one card face-up. You may also lay off cards onto existing melds.
If you empty your hand completely, declare Tongits and win automatically. Alternatively, if you feel confident, call a Fight — all players reveal their deadwood and the lowest count wins.
Deadwood value uses face cards at 10 points, Aces at 1 point, and number cards at face value. The player with the least deadwood at the end of the round takes the pot.
Play Smarter

Track what your opponents discard. If the same suit keeps appearing, they are likely building runs in another suit — plan your own melds accordingly.
Sets (three of a kind) are quicker to form and help you reduce your hand count fast. Target sets in the first few rounds before pursuing long runs.
High-value face cards inflate your deadwood score. If they do not fit into a meld within a couple of turns, consider discarding them early.
Calling a Fight is a double-edged sword. Only call when you are confident your deadwood is lower than your opponents' — otherwise wait for Tongits.
